His take on our stay in Manchester Center:

A wonderful location with trees turning to beautiful colours (colors) and some nice restaurants with less challenging American accents. We attended the Orvis Fly Fishing 2 day school at Orvis Headquarters. The building is itself very appealing and situated beside its' own casting ponds filled with rainbow trout to bring realism to outdoor practice sessions. ...

... the Green Mountains of Vermont on the 6th....what a beautiful trip this was.

8/6-8/11....Our first stop was Saint Johnsbury, VT where we stayed at the Moose River Campground. The campground caters to adults only and our site was right on the Moose River. While in Saint Johnsbury we visited Dog Mountain which caters to dogs (obviously). They have an art gallery which features the work of Steve Hunneck, a doggie chapel where ...

... a Mohawk with his arms lifted up in prayer to the Great Spirit. The statue stands on a boulder and is quite impressive! Another little piece of history is the Little Red School House, built in 1868. The one room school stands in its original spot. Unfortunately, we weren't able to go inside, although the brochure said it was open. Still, a nice piece of Americana. We then ventured into the little town of Shelburne Falls to see their uniquely different tourist attraction, ...

Well off we set at 8:30 am to venture along the hwy to get closer to Cooperstown. The toll roads are enough to break you. One we hit in Maine was $7.50, another $4.00 and another at $ 3.50, yikes.
We decided to take the #2 thru the top of Massachusetts which became a much more sensible drive to do. Very scenic along the way, but did not stop to take any pictures as Greg seems to be in groove. I must ...
