    It's been about 10 years since I last visited my aunt Heather and uncle Roger in Cape May. I arrived just before the start of the tourist season, so it was nice and quiet (but a little chillier than any of us liked!). We started out the day at George's for some amazing breakfast (french toast with lemon greek yogurt? Yes, please!) and meandered through the shops on Washington Street.

Fort Miles and the observation towers were abandoned by the Army in the early 1960s, but there have been some efforts to preserve these structures. Built to only last 20 years, they've been standing for over 60 years now. ....guess they don't build things like they use to!

    This was a fantastic place! This campground was right next to the Indian River Inlet. Next to the campground was the Indian River Bridge.     ... to Tracy's cousin's beach house for a family reunion. Great fun, awesome beach. Then on to Gettysburg for a private tour by one of the guides.

    From there we went to Indianapolis to visit Bob's brother Dan, wife Aubrey and daughter Sarah. Dan and Sarah joined us for a day of hiking at Turkey Run State Park.
