Cardiff, Brecon, Tintern and Oxford
Had free breakfast at the hostel. Lots of cereal and toast. Washed up and packed up. Weather had improved from last night's pouring rain. First stop was Caerphilly Castle, built in the 1200s. Shopping and Crop Circling
Today we made a somewhat fruitless phone call about our baggage, and were told to call China Southern's French office and were given a number. Which rang out. So, we headed into Hungerford and Marlborough for some shopping. Blenheim Palace and Cotwsolds
... And, in all the bathrooms (called 'toilets' here, which always strikes me as faintly vulgar), public and not, the water from hot water tap is boiling hot. It's always separate hot and cold taps - evidently, the notion of a faucet blending hot and cold water has not caught on here. I kinda dig it - in this country, hot is hot, cold is cold, never the twain shall meet. Except the toast.
