Finished packing our bags last night and this morning. Bob's suitcase weighed 32 lbs and mine weighted 46. Weather is supposed to be cool the whole time so it's sweaters, jeans and scarves for me. We have a biking excursion booked in Vienna so we had to pack a little bike gear. Bob's folks (Pawp and Jayj) picked us up at 10am. ...

... rusty. Today will take us six hours south to Lexington, Virginia. This is just a pit stop until tomorrow when we drive seven hours to a suburb of Atlanta called Suwanee, Georgia. After that, things get real. Here's a quick breakdown of the trip:

1) One night in Lexington, Virginia to explore the local Howard Johnson and all the cultural insight it has to offer.

... to the ministry, and while attending seminary he heard the pleas of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for clergy to get more involved in the Civil Rights Movement. While participating in Civil Rights demonstrations in Alabama, Daniels was killed trying to protect two black teenagers from a man with a shotgun. This courtyard on the VMI campus is dedicated to him.
