    ... Christian and I remembered that this was the bull’s eye for Hurricane Katrina and also the home of the family of ABC’s Robin Roberts. She had all the viewers of Good Morning America praying for her aging mother after the hurricane hit. I remember it well. And in Pass Christian there were a few parking spaces in occasional areas, and there was a public beach with a limited sized parking lot and a pier.

    ... friends, and the service reflects this leisurely pace. Despite being summer, the place was full, and we enjoy watching the crowd as we sip on our last Cuban coffees.

    ... off with peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Man, I was stuffed. Cheryl was ready for dessert too, no choices at Sonny's though.

    We took a walk around the area to see what we could see and Cheryl spotted the Golden Arches nearby. A hot fudge sundae was in order so we headed there. No gluten in that stuff.

    After that we headed back and stopped back at Sonny's BBQ to listen to a trio who was playing Country music ...

    ... of California. 85 oF at 10:30 a.m. in the sunshine state. WE are listening to some podcasts that Clarence downloaded. Today's case was about the mating habits of crickets. Kinda funny. Who needs audio books. Hee hee! I am thinking that the fencing that I am seeing on the side of the road is probably there for a reason. I am thinking it maybe to prevent gator roadkill!     ... On our way it's absolutely miserable weather, I took a couple of photos outside the bus to show us crossing the bridge and what it was like outside. A scene from the movie the Longest Yard was filmed here. Regardless of the weather you can see how pretty it is. Very green and marshy so far. The Jekyll Island trolley which we are booked to go on is booked out two years in advance. The island is 7 x 1 mile with the land owned by the state. Residents can only lease the land. The ...
