The town sucked, the people sucked and it turned out it was a semi private school and not the orphanage we had planned to help out.     ... Adarsh Palace". I was given room number 108 which added up to 9 and I thought hey! Lucky number. Turns out, it wasn't lucky at all. There was a TV which played only irrelevant channels, the whole room leaked and it was kind of in the basement. Yikes! I was too tired to look for some other room so I sort of gave up and took a nap.

    ... I went to Bangalore's museum and art gallery on my own one afternoon. It cost 2 rupees (about 5 cents) and both were in a surprising state of disrepair considering they are two of the state's showcase buildings. There were interesting paintings, sculptures, musical instruments etc. to view and there was a 1,000 year old sculpture with very little security. A bit refreshing after the airport scene!
