... only non-Indians at the market (we clearly stood out), everyone was friendly to us. We felt very safe and weren't hassled at all. At other markets that we've visited, some of the vendors have been quite aggressive in their sales pitches. Vendors here seemed accepting of us just looking and enjoying their wares without buying anything.

... the work in three language groups. Many of them have stayed overnight for the meeting with elders and leaders tomorrow, which we pray will have better attendance.

Bangalore is higher elevation and a much more temperate climate, which I am appreciating. Sunday I will be at the meetings in one of the local assemblies and then Monday we fly to Calcutta and take the train to Jamtara for another round of the same sort of meetings.

We did similar things the next day and ate our last curries before going to an Indian version of a British pub (was working ok until they put on ridiculously loud terrible music to the obvious distress of a middle aged couple in front of us who had just ordered food and drinks).

... rocked and when it ended we popped down the MG Road for a drink.

We got to the Hard Rock cafe and once it was closing time there a very helpful TukTuk driver went past a alcohol take away. It consisted of a few guys hiding in the shadows with their cool boxes and a middle man ferrying purchased booze out to passing cabs! Beautiful.

What a great way to spend our last real day. From here we go to Sri Lanka for a pint and then ...
