At other markets that we've visited, some of the vendors have been quite aggressive in their sales pitches. Vendors here seemed accepting of us just looking and enjoying their wares without buying anything.

Bangalore is higher elevation and a much more temperate climate, which I am appreciating. Sunday I will be at the meetings in one of the local assemblies and then Monday we fly to Calcutta and take the train to Jamtara for another round of the same sort of meetings.

We did similar things the next day and ate our last curries before going to an Indian version of a British pub (was working ok until they put on ridiculously loud terrible music to the obvious distress of a middle aged couple in front of us who had just ordered food and drinks).

We got to the Hard Rock cafe and once it was closing time there a very helpful TukTuk driver went past a alcohol take away. It consisted of a few guys hiding in the shadows with their cool boxes and a middle man ferrying purchased booze out to passing cabs! Beautiful.
