Beautiful drive through the North Carolina foothills, through Asheville, on through the Great Smokies to Knoxville, then on to Lexington. Had done some research. Woodford Reserve is the "Official Bourbon of the Kentucky Derby" If it is good enough for American Pharoah, it's good enough for us. Had a really entertaining tour ...

... won at his table. Very nice people and so inclusive. In fact so much so one of the women,Lynn, decided to have a Croque game and dinner party at her home for us! She lives in a garden that could be southern France. A lovely evening. She has given a true name to free range chickens. Chickens and guinea hens run free all over her land. A dozen of her hens eggs look like Easter! It was a perfect visit albeit maybe too short! Hopefully, we can visit ...
