... up to the 15th floor it was an awesome rooftop bar literally at the foot of the Empire State Building. Had a couple of cocktails - a Manhattan and a Campari. Ended up cabbing it home at about midnight. We are currently riding the subway into NYC again - going to see Central Park, 911 museum and going to what Chris says is an awesome BBQ place in Times Square. More to ...

... but it was the same day for the release of the iPhone 5. Have you ever seen the ad where Samsung is making fun of the people in line waiting for the release of the new iPhone? Well, that queue exists, and that queue goes around the block. ... as we headed for Barnes and Noble, the emminent bookshop. We weren't overly impressed - Borders used to be better - so we set out again for the Chrysler Building, via Grand Central Station. This was a very Deco part of town; Grand Central was very swish, a great contrast to Penn Station where we arrived in New York.
We passed on to the Chrysler Building, classic Art Deco, where you are only allowed to visit the foyer [ security reasons, since 9/11].

It is SO beautifully ...

... 51st and 8th avenue just north of Times Square. Amber wants to shop on Madison Ave and visit Juliard, we'll also have dinner at Planet Hollywood, visit the Empire State building, and walk by Rockerfeller center, St. Patrick's cathedral, Central park and other sites within walking distance.

We'll leave NYC Friday afternoon and make our way to south of Hartford, CT to stay a night with some old friends from BYU days.
