... filling in at the desk. I was expecting to pay at the end of the stay, but they charged me right away. Bye bye $1K!
Room was old and musty, but fine for me. Jacinda instantly disliked it, and the lack of tv was a pain. We changed and headed to the beach. Later we went to Main Ave and ate at the pizza restauarant (it was okay) and then at Nagles for ice cream!
It was a sad morning for Hugh. We were all downstairs packing, eating breakfast, and having one last laugh with Jen before we headed out while Hugh slept in.
I decided to check on him and find him sitting up in bed crying. I quickly go over, hug him, and ask what is wrong.
"Mommy I thought you guys left and forgot me," sobbing away.
Poor thing. I of course comfort him as one ...
... it to the Upper West Side aiming to get to a large-shoe shop that had been recommended to me as having wide fitting shoes. Alas they didn't have any dress shoes that suited but I picked up a good pair of runners and a pair of casuals. The aim of the day was to take a Circle Line River cruise but shoes took too long and so we headed to the Central Park Zoo. But alas time ran out again and so we ended up paddling about the Lake rich in algal bloom. Interesting see which family members ...
... serving dishes. It was a hot day so we ate outside, but remember to sneek a peek at Gundels elegant interior and its floral display.
We had a clear cold consume, salad, then stuffed squash, a napoleon for dessert. The food was of course, first rate. The cost was $ 40 USD for lunch a splurge, but this was Gundel.

... on at length here, but, do yourself a favor and make certain your quads, hamstrings, glutes and calves are fit before tackling this trek. Honestly, the trek is not overly intense. What makes the trek feel tense if the fact that your oxygen intake will be considerably lower than normal (assuming you live relatively close to sea level). You will already have to worry about pulling enough air during your hike...do you really want to worry about aching ...
