... to the Royal Show back home, was that it was a lot smaller and didn't have any showbags!
The petting zoo was probably one of my favourite bits, as we got to pet a donkey, a yak, and even a zebra! After getting some dinner, we also decided that we should try caramel apples - seeing as they are a bit of an American specialty as well. I got one that was not only dipped in caramel, but also mini M&Ms, and Jess had hers ...
... and then after crossing to the other side of the highway, the Diamond Run Mall. It was here that we found our very first JCPenney (not as good as Ellen DeGeneres makes it out to be), and also our first Sears (this was worth the walk). After a little shopping for Jess and a little bit more shopping for me, we decided to head back; that, and there were storm clouds rolling in.

Our first day with no plans, so what do we do? Sleep in of course! We did have to get up eventually, seeing as breakfast finished at 10am (so of course we went down at 9.30am). After breakfast though, we vegged out in our room watching re-runs of anything we could find on TV.
We did eventually get hungry, so decided to go out and have a walk around to see what we could find. We ended up finding ...
... settled in, when we started hearing people talking outside our room. The hotel is having construction and remodelling work done at the moment, and as it turns out, the workers thought it would be good to not only work, but yell and play their weird music outside our room insanely late at night. A nice lite phone call to reception later and they were moved on, however they were still yapping away at 12.30am. How do I know this? I'm still awake. Arghhh. Peace out from Rutland, Vermont ...
