    Drove straight up to Maggie and Brian's cottage in northern Vermont. Sun shining brightly but deceptively - it was 4deg. The cottage is right on the shore of Echo Lake ( not the same one we saw yesterday - that was south). M & B come here from Montreal, takes about 2 & half hours.     As our hotel was in the city, we walked around the corner to buy fresh muffins and Graeme bought a decent coffee.     ... at least part of the way. What we did not know was that there was a community walk in aid of Suicide Prevention and thousands of people were crammed on to the bridge ready for the start. Instead we crossed by car but did get a good look at the edifice as we drove over the river.
