We walk 24kms in all on what turns out to be quite a hot sunny day. The highlight was the veritable haven of peace we found in the church at Germoe. After walking 23kms yesterday, today is a more modest 18kms. We've walked into St. Michaels Mount along the Coastal Path and at high tide, had to take the little ferry there and back. The Castle is lovely and we find our first representation of the St. George or St. Michael battle against dragons in a wonderful statue. The bay didn't seem to hold much promise, vast carpark, mass of humans and not a huge beach but I was hoping as the tide subsided, an expanse of sand would be revealed. And so it was, along with many tiny bays, caves, rocks, cliffs and beautiful crystal clear surf.

The sea subsided abruptly, and its quite shallow at the base of the cliffs. The beach, therefore reveals itself quickly and with real drama. ...
