    Captivating Cape Cod

    ... I mean truly small cottage with weathered cedar, now I know what cape cod grey is! But guess what - I forgot to take a photo of one!!

    You can see form the photos how lucky we have been with the weather, this was a wonderful time to visit and I wish we could stay longer but there are so many more miles to travel before we get to o Florida & so many places to see on the way its time to leave this piece of paradise!!

    We spent the morning walking around Natick again. The town is small and adorable and probably the definition of what people think of when they picture the "American Dream" at the center of town there was a farmers market so we went and got some fresh corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, and red peppers. We walked over to the library which was having an art exhibit and got some work done using their wifi before we decided it was finally time to leave ...

    ... emporium, lottery and something resembling a national, televised bingo game. Our beshorted waitress, Dawn, scurried about, took our order and served us with a minimum of grace. My first clam chowder and Steph's seafood bisque were both promisingly tasty; the meatloaf and fish n chips less so! Not so cheap and definitely not cheerful. It was still raining and our hotel room offered warmth and shelter. The storm continued throughout the evening. We weren't going anywhere tonight. ...

    ... was exactly. For once, we have chosen a modern and well appointed motel, with good internet too!
    Supper was a toss-up between Seafood Sam's, Wok n Roll or the Jerk Café. Which would you choose? The crab salad at Seafood Sam's won the day! An early night in prospect again as darkness puts an end to anything but eating or TV.
    Have you heard?Satanic supermarket : I Dollar Tree (say it quickly).Americans use malt vinegar too with their fish and chips.

    Meals have been an eye opener...twice now Ben has failed to finish a meal, a shock to him but he has tried to shrug it off. They do have chips, always a gherkin and fries. Other countries do it better. our best ones have actually been Asian , ...
