... dass uns von einem unserer gastgeber angeboten wurde. gleich in der nähe kann man delfine beobachten. danach trennen wir uns von dem paar und fahren mit arthur weiter, einem deutsch-albaner. absolut lustiger mensch aus hamburg. es geht die ostküste runter um so viele pinguine und seehunde wie möglich zu sehen, bis zur südlichsten insel neuseelands, stuart island. ein naturschutzgebiet mit vögeln die keine angst vor dem menschen kennen und wildlebenden kiwis.

We zijn gisteren in Christchurch aangekomen na twee nachten in een 'resort'-stadje Hanmer Springs. Dat was wel even erg lekker, uitblazen, sauna'tje en lekker warme baden. En een massage voor Astrid. Zitten we daar goed en wel binnen, komt er tegenover ons iemand zitten die we kennen!
Marijke had haar plannen om moeten gooien omdat ze niet kon gaan duiken. Ze had besloten dan maar een verwendagje te doen in Hanmer Springs. Tegelijk met ons dus!

... to the south island for a few days (we had to be back in Welly for Bok game 2). We 'cramponed' it on Fox Glacier, enjoyed breakfast with the seals at Kai Koara & spent a mad 2 nights in Queenstown (QT).
