    ... a quick U-turn and race back to try and catch the view just as the sun was setting. We only just made it in time to get a quick look. It would have been nice to have got there just 20 minutes earlier though - maybe next time.

Our third day started with a 4 hour drive into the Grampians national park, Port Fairy is at the end of the Great Ocean Road so instead of just turning back and driving the same road home, we decided to loop back to Melbourne on a different road that takes you through the national park.     ... with beautiful beaches, conservation parks and the ever famous Penguin Parade. We stopped off at a koala sanctuary along the way and were basically looking eye to eye with koalas. I want one. After wandering there for an hour, we drove around the island and hit most of the tourist points which were all gorgeous, but our main reason for being there was the penguins.     ... After that we went and had breakfast of spaghetti and meatballs on toast, was nice. Went back to where we had camped to see the koalas then set off.

    Today we had to get to Lorne and find somewhere to camp. We stopped off at Mait's Rest and did the 30 minute rainforest walk, it was quite nice, wasn't hot like the other rainforest we'd been in. After that we set off to go to Apollo Bay.
