... and told me to keep walking. Thank goodness I decided to stop and have a look, as it was a leach making its way up my leg, inside my jeans. Managed to get hold the little pest before attaching himself. Minutes later Mike found one crawling up his leg. After that I was so jumpy. Finished the walk off with a cup of tea and our packed lunch and scary drive back to Lorne. They then set off in search of another adventure, they started in a forest and saw waterfalls and noisy birds. Spike was very excited when they saw some koalas sleeping in the trees, they were so lovely and ...

... but with the rain and cold we thought we'd save it for another warmer time on our trip. Too bad. We drove inland to check out a pretty impressive waterfall. We took a short hike to the bottom and the water was pounding down from all the recent rainfall. Kristen was on constant leech check after her previous close encounter but we were all clear! We continued on towards Kennett River and made a short stop at the cool hip town of Lorne to check out the surfers ...
