Historical Traveler Reviews Cavalaire Hotel Brighton
An absolute treat
We stayed here over the bank holiday weekend and I have to say that you could not ask for nicer hosts.
The breakfast is home cooking at it's best from the full english to the vegetarian breakfast.
The dog Buffy is really cool and the management are the friendliest most helpful I have come across.
It's like being at home and next time I'm in Brighton. there is only one place I will stay. We were only there for 3 days but they felt like family by the time we left.
Kind, caring and great sense of humour. Don't go anywhere else.
Brian.
I love the Cavalaire Hotel
Brighton England and the Cavalaire Hotel is one of my favorite places to visit in the world. I find this idyllic hotel and the beauty of Brighton,a peaceful and relaxing get away. The hotel is particularly charming, the breakfast great, and the hosts delightful. It has been my pleasure to stay at the Cavalier three times in the past year. The last time I brought my sister and mother. They too find it a lovely! I highly recommend the Cavalaire.
Excellent in every way
We have just had a great Easter break in Brighton and the Cavalaire. The standard of the rooms, food and service are all excellent - nothing is too much trouble for the owners who go out of their way to make you feel at home and relaxed.
We did have a small problem with our shower but this was soon fixed with no inconvenience to us, we would were sorry to leave and will be back again before too long
Disapointing
well i must say having read the other reviews for this hotel i truley looked forward to staying there...but ...and it is a big but...the room was tiny on a main road with buses vibrating the windows and starting at 5.30am so no sleep for me at the front of the building.... the owners laughed about it, finding it amusing!! The room was clean but i must say very small and for the price they charge you can stay in a good 4 **** down the road and get a lot more for your money and a good nights sleep
Best place in town...
Just had a break at the Cavalaire Hotel and we wanted to let you know we had a great weekend staying there, the weather was dreary but the warm and friendly atmosphere they've got going at the hotel is something we won't forget.
Fabulous
Cavalaire House was awesome. The owners were very hospitable. Breakfast was fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt and made-to-order hot breakfast.
The location was great. It is only a 5-10 minute
walk from everything in Brighton - the shopping laines, Brighton Pier and the beach.
Be forewarned, the accomodations are small. They are spotless and very comfortable but rather compact.
The best thing about Cavalaire House - Buffy, the owner's Terrier was very cute and welcoming.
A must stay!
We stayed in the triple room (I believe on the top floor). Very nice room and a larger bathroom than expected. VERY clean and staff very friendly/helpful. Would stay again no doubt.
Home from home!
This guest house is a real find. It was like staying in someone's very nice spare room! The breakfast was fab and the owners couldn't have been more helpful. It is also only 5 mins walk from the great bars and restaurants on St James Street. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Fantastic value
This is an excellent value B+B in what is quite an expensive city to stay.
The hosts are extremely friendly and easy to talk to, and having stayed there on many occasions I can say that the rooms are always clean and comfortable.
It also has a great location, being just a 5 minute walk from the centre of town, but is far enough out so you are not disturbed by late night revellers.
Highly recommended.
Impressive
Having just stayed with you was sheer delight. This trip of three days has revived our belief in the small hotel / B&B. Brilliant hospitality.
