... but just before we went by the pub we saw what we thought was probably the Spoonbill on the large pool right opposite the pub. We couldn't stop because of the road and pedestrian traffic so we carried on to the nearby car park where a birdwatcher had a telescope set up. ... pitch in Paris last month was playing today, so we went there and settled down in front of the TV for a couple of hours. It was a good match with some entertaining passages of play. I felt a bit sorry for the Irish who probably deserved to win but could only come away with a draw.
