    ... plank wood, each lit with a long ivory taper set in an antique brass candlestick holder, with old throw carpets placed purposefully on the floor where two black labs took up residence while we ate.     We left 6.45 in plenty of time for our 8.15 sailing. The mont St Michel cruise ferry was in dock waiting for us all. For the first time in years we got stopped and searched by the customs police! They looked under the bonnet and under the car, not in it, so I presume it was drugs they were looking for. We were soon sitting at the front end of the ship, in the sun, with a cup of tea and scrambled eggs. Really calm trip, very pleasant and not too busy. At ...

    Luckily our ailment was short-lived!! We caught the train to Bournemouth. Mum and Dave picked us up and took us to the village of West Moors. Mum finally has the house she has always wanted!!!

    After a little rest we went back to Bournemouth to see Poppa and Kevin. We went out for a little drink at Kevin's favourite venue

    ... but Mum had hired a room at The Days Hotel in Bournemouth, i had banners, flags, cupcakes, signs, balloons, and facts about places to visit in Australia. Mum had help from Dad, Christine, Rachel, Karen and Andy from organizing where to have the farewell party to setting all the decorations up before i arrived.
    Nearly everyone was there in the family, it was a shame that a few couldn't make it.
