Beth's flights from Vegas to Dallas to Birmingham arrived on schedule.
For some reason, Sue did not feel like cooking when we got home, so we ordered some Chinese and picked it up on the way home. We had only had a small breakfast and a snack on the plane until we got home. Dinner tonight was at 9:30pm.

She told us that the gorge trail was now open (and had been from seven am; we'd been an hour too early!) and she had saved my buff for me, which had fallen out of my bag in front of the office... We had a giant detour around the town of Johnson's City, which added about twenty minutes to our already hellishly long day, but by this point the sun was back out and the radio had stopped cutting out so it wasn't all bad! We're basically packed and ready to go on this year's Southwest Adventure! Our flights leave early tomorrow morning and we should all be on the ground in Las Vegas around lunch time. Beth will be flying out of Birmingham and will be meeting us in Vegas. From there we will be driving to Springdale Utah, near Zion National Park. The roads in Greater Madawaska Township had not been touched (wonder where my tax dollars go), however once reaching the county line to Lanark they had the roads cleared and salted so we felt better, especially in the hills between home and Perth.
