... of seed. The maze was next to the formal gardens of a palace. I thought the maze was a'maze'ing because it was very hard but it turned out to be quite easy once Dad taught us that if you always turn left you can get to the finish line. The maze was made out of vines and very high, it was over 2m tall. The centre of the maze was the finish line and was made out of wooden gates. It was a good day and we collected lots of ...

... was getting the train down from Birmingham and we were a bit late meeting him but it was nice to be back together as a family after a week. It was even nicer to see the Macleods again and see how all the kids have grown since they visited in NZ a few years ago. ... After another half an hour or so the BA lady comes to see us. She tells us that she will collect our bags from carousel 1 and will look after them until the Sri Lankan staff arrive at about 06:00am. She also takes our passports and boarding passes. Eventually she returns, tells us that she has our luggage and that she will now take us to the Transit Lounge. "Lounge" it certainly is not! A soulless open ...

This morning we checked out of our apartment. Incredible now far and wide we managed to strew our belongings in 5 days. We popped up the road for a quick spin around the Natural History Museum, after we checked out. Another great museum, some good interactive exhibits... The kids were fascinated by the amazing crystal collections. We picked up our rental car, which just managed to fit our bags (phew). Then after a few minutes remembering how to drive a ...
