... the Cadillac Ranch, where the cars are half buried out in a large field. These were buried in 1974, intended as a piece of art.... since then people have taken anything removable from them as souvenirs so there's not much left but frames & body panels... and it is standard practice for anyone & everyone to bring spray paint & do graffiti on them... I saw 1 spot where the paint build up was probably 1/2" thick.. but it is still ...
... on I 40. In fact the interstate divides the park in to the two sections.
What I think I first really noticed were those "trees" that had turned into rock over millions of years. WOW, here were rocks millions of years old!
We then went to the painted desert side of the park. The colors of the desert very much impressed me. They were so beautiful!

... As it turns out, the father is a pastor of a local Church here, and it was a real encouragement getting to talk to him and his son.
They were very friendly, and I hope to get to know him better. I have no idea if I will ever be able to serve them and their brethren and preach the things I feel called to preach, but I am truly glad of the blessing that God literally brought into our home this morning!
Our family stayed here for Christmas this year. The resort is just re-opening, and everything in the 9 cabins has been updated, refreshed and renewed! Each cabin had a unique theme. Can't wait to come back when the weather is better and do some hiking, fishing in the lakes and enjoy the valley more. It even snowed while we were there - perfect!
