Finished the cereal we've had left over at the hostel. Walked to the car, filled up the tank just outside Edinburgh and headed towards Durham. Stopped on the coast after Dunbar for a few photos of the cliffs. Continued the long drive south to Durham. Arrived at The Sands car park at 2. Had a quiche and a slice of orange cake at a Mediterranean bakery west across the river from the Durham peninsula. Came up to Palace Green where we saw the entrance to Durham Castle and more ...

... all still wearing their headphones (tripwires for toilet bound me!) With ninja skills like that I should be at the Olympics, I'm wasted at Fox's. It seems like everyone on the plane is asleep apart from me. I'm bored and walking around the plane writing this. I think we must be going over Brisbane now, almost there. Yesterday we did a final tour of the Dales, which is when we saw the Lonely House. Quite a lot of sunny spells with just a few sprinkles of rain. Today has been sunny all day and the weather man says it should be like this for the rest of the week. It is cold, but you can wrap up to keep warm, rain is just depressing.
