... of many lagoons which cover the land near to Lake Wendouree. The water level in the lagoons is quite low at the moment. There are bike and walking paths between the lagoons and trees give quite good cover. We saw many water birds and others, including black swan, grebes, moorhens, ibis, Australian magpies which have different markings to English magpies. We also saw corellas and crested pigeons and a duck with a blue beak that we haven't identified yet.

... We made it to Ballarat and the directions failed us again. Ugggh, just a little frustrating. After lots of luck and great guessing we did eventually arrive at the Wyndham Resort - which I'm sure in the light of day will be interesting as it is a historical building.
