    ... the tree trunks (which we later found were a yellow blaze with a #1) so I thought we missed a turn. Then I saw a beer can and a water bottle about 10 feet ahead of that so I was reassured that we were still on the trail.

    After another 5 min it was getting too steep ahead (maybe Inspiration Point?) so we decided to turn back and start angling toward the ridge to try to find the trail again. So much for assuming that someone that litters would stay on ...

    ... beds. I have been in cities that border the Pacific and Atlantic, in Canada, on the Mediterranean on both the East and West coasts of Italy, in Central Italy and rode the train almost at the border of Switzerland. I have slept in my own bed 4 nights of the past 25, and have slept in no single bed longer than 5 nights (San Diego), and have stayed as short as one night (Syracuse and Toronto).

    Just some more stats on the travel time: 8+ hours of flights/layovers ...

    ... we had this experience, and so grateful for all the amazing memories we have made. And it's good to know that Bob and I can spend two weeks together, and I'm sad about going back to work and being away from him.
