Hello there friends! (written June 2014)
It is with great joy that we prepare to return to Russia! Smolensk, here we come!
We will (Lord willing) leave in July and be there for the rest of 2014.

Fishing tonite at South Whidbey Island State Park, Washington. I caught my limit for the second night in a row. Tim caught 3 and two of those were about 25 inches. I had one that size. Tim has now caught 11 in the last 3 days. We have caught 18 salmon each ...

... good. And it is a healthy recipe too. Then I made Back Country Skillet Chili with Rice. It was pretty good. And then catching 4 salmon............ A great day.

Just realized the 24 incher is the biggest one I have caught. So, I caught the most I ever caught in one day and the largest one. Yupper, a great day.

... fish was definitely a Coho. The eggs are much different and the meat is much redder. The tail has very few spots.

South Whidbey Island State Park.................. there is a 1/2 mile hike down a steep hill to the beach. There are many switchbacks and there are also stairs in some spots. Not bad going down but after 3 to 4 hours of fishing the hike can be tough especially carrying 15 or 20 pounds of fish.
