... to the hotel. We both agreed that this place had a very weird vibe. I would have thought that a fat white guy would have been the target market in these parts though in this place I was treated as if I had three heads, maybe they were pirates and they could spot the landlubber, either way it was a most unfriendly place.

After getting changed we headed out for dinner at a tavern and had a dozen ...

Drove 112 miles in 1.5 hours.

    Highlights

... Wharf Waterfront Restaurant and were guided to a wonderful window view of the nearby docks and waterways. This should come as no surprise that we immediately ordered from the raw bar – Oysters! The local Barnstable Oysters have a sweet, nut-like flavor and firm meats with a unique "crunch" to their texture. They were amazing!

Perhaps it was the cocktails or the view, ...

... sweet, crisp meat. It has plump meats with a mild, sweet flavor, high brininess and a crisp, clean finish. The clam chowder – the best I have had so far. A creamy concoction with succulent tender clams and potatoes just the right size and tooth. It tasted wonderful! The steamed clams were luscious and served in an amazing broth and the fried platter was lightly battered and lightly fried ...
