I sat in on of the boxes and looked up showtimes for a Broadway show. We looked and looked for a while, trying to decide on one that looked good and still had decent priced tickets. We finally found tickets and bought them for Phantom of the Opera at 7:30. By this time I think it was around noonish, so we just killed some time hanging ...
Some of you might already know this, but Julie went back to Geelong this week. She got to see her mum, whose health is improving, and she got to play Auntie Julie for the first time! All the photos I have seen have been of Julie and Belle smiling for the camera. She is arriving back in London tomorrow morning.
So, for those of you astute followers you'll realise that leaves me on my own in London for a week. I had planned to keep myself really busy ...

Afterwards, we caught up with Candice's cousin Mitch in Southwark and had a drink at a bar next to the Thames River. The area was busy with tourists, buskers and joggers. We walked past the London Eye which looks even bigger when your standing right underneath it. I don't plan on going on the London Eye because I think it's way too expensive for what it ...
... all was going well until one of the guys dropped his beer on the tube floor and then bent down to lick it up... Do you know what they have found on the tube surfaces? Faeces.
We then started seeing people dressed up as Shortland St doctors, Four square attendants, Maggies dip, cows, sheep, kiwi fruits (with no shirts on in the middle of winter), pak'n'save deals, fruit bursts.. well you get the idea- all kiwi favourites.

Things we learnt today:
1. A place is cold when in the hottest part of the day you're breathing out smoke.
2. Pigeons appear to be fatter in London than in Australia. I'm not sure if they actually are, but it looks like it to me.
3. The most bizarre things can happen, like a tourist stop to ask us for directions. What made it more bizarre was ...
