We both went for a longer walk later on, exploring Pelsall Common. There were lots of paths off the main track, but there were old workings and hillocks and hollows, which made the minor paths quite difficult. We found some apple trees and gathered a few, also some pears. Our route was a circuitous one leading back to the boat.
We walked to get breakfast - Dave didn't come - and then drove to the Games Workshop headquarters after packing and loading the car. The place was just amazing and even though there weren't many people there Dave was in Seventh Heaven. We left him there and walked along the canal to find Sainsburys to use the automatic teller. Pick up Sat Morning. Smooth handover. SC- Can you feel it? DC - No hardly tell it's there. First outing in the new Van at our first C&C site in Ashbourne. Lovely Site. Friendly helpful staff help us push it on the pitch. The Van is very comfy and warm.

As we passed Malthouse Stables which used to be a secure mooring we saw it was marked private mooring, and the secure fences now had gaps in! BW must have sold it. We moored finally at the Black Country Museum.
We made phone calls to boatyards to find a slipway but had no success.
