... and stopped at Brewood to get some shopping. The canal here is lined both sides with tall trees; heaven for kingfishers. We were lulled into a false sense of security.

A mile or so further on, we went through a bridge and suddenly the wind hit us from the left - there was a big break in the trees so our wind break had temporarily vanished. We were going past moored boats so were moving in tick over and the wind blew us over onto the moored boats. ...

Day 9 Maintenance Dept is being very patient with the swine of a cupboard door. Day 2 of trying make it fit. Flying from Heathrow

... movies, have a couple of nice feeds, doze for about half an hour and then its touchdown time at KLIA around 7:00am local time. I say goodbye to Col and Gill as they will be catching the onward flight to Brisbane around 10:15 and after gathering my bags - and not even seeing any customs area - catch the KLIA express train into KL Sentral. From there its only a short walk to my hotel.

... went back to our accommodation where after a quick rest we decided to go on a drive to the Southern end of Lake Windermere. We found a tea room at Fort Fell which had a lovely setting outside right on the lake. We chilled here for a while, and then built up a thirst so went back up the road to a hotel that promised lake views and gave glimpses. In here we met a kiwi couple and we had a chat for a while.
