... severe flinching and rare expletives. We are all still alive, though aged considerably.
Chatsworth House was really cool. We didn't do it justice - just skimmed the surface. But still worthwhile. The farm shop was full of amazing deli foods - yummy pork pies for our picnic. Will return one day and take a proper garden ...

We're setting off on Y-Knot on Saturday, and are raring to get going.
This year to the most Northeastern point of the canal system - Ripon in
Yorkshire.

I've plotted some of our destinations in
advance and you can see them on the map. Trouble is Google doesn't follow
the waterways so it's just a bunch of zig-zag lines until I fill in some route detail later!

Our proposed route takes us up the tidal River Trent via Nottingham, but until May 17th ...
