This morning we were back on the bus headed to Mont Tremblant via Montreal.
It was about 3 hours to Montreal and another hour to The Sugar Shack - our lunch pit stop. The Sugar Shack is a Maple Farm. So ofcourse our meal today was very traditional and included a lot of maple syrup. There were 2 big bottles of pure maple syrup on our table. I was in heaven. Kat from Glasgow tried maple syrup for the first time in her life. She has been missing out!
... were closing. We did one more run and the snowboarding came to an end for the time being.
We got back to the hostel and I packed up all my gear. Today was a really sad day as three weeks with Alex was coming to an end :( We said our goodbyes, I nearly cried haha. Sucks to have to leave a mate, but I'm excited seeing him in Brazil in a few months to watch him get married! I jumped in the car with Jenny and Steph and ...
Day 2 on the mountain was a much more pleasant experience as the temperature climbed a little. Still a balmy -15 degrees. It seemed like yesterday everyone wasn't having too much fun yesterday with all of the falling over so today I took some extra extra time and helped everyone individually and by midday they were all making it down the bigger bunny hill without falling over.
... and knuckled the jump super bad and only just pulled it back without stacking it. I left the park for the day and went back down to the bunny hill to check on everyone else.
It was good to see that they had kept it up and pushed through and were all slowly improving. We grabbed some lunch and I hung out with them all for the rest of the day. The mountain closed at 3:30 which to me was absurd. ...
... honest underestimated the monumental task of controlling 6 dogs and a someone sitting in a sled In front of me. At the best of times, I can't ski, but try skiing in this scenario... epic fail. Not even 20 seconds in to our journey, I put us in the snow. Alex was covered head to toe and the dogs looked pretty ****** off as they were still trying to keep going but we weren't moving. We got some assistance getting out and carried on.
Another minute in, we landed back in the snow ...
