This morning we woke up later than we planned and finished up packing odds and ends. We said our farewells to Bella and seriously considered puppy-napping her and stealing her off to Canada. With heavy hearts we got into the car around 11 and started our journey up north with multiple considerations of turning around and getting her. The drive was uneventful, we drove through Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and ended in Ohio were we slept in out car. ...
... try to do something about the hijackers, to not just let them do what the passengers now knew by text messages and such from their families, that the United States had been attacked, and that these hijackers were most likely part of it. It seems that the pilot and co-pilot had already been killed. Whether or not any passengers got into the cockpit or not, the terrorists apparently realized that they would fail in their mission, which was to crash into the Capitol Building ...
Started the day with a
tour of Jim beams distillery including samples. The honey bourbon with
ice and water was OK but nothing I'd buy.
Heading towards Cleveland to visit the Rock Hall of fame as our last visit before heading home.
Got stuck in a couple of traffic jams and torrential rain.
Again the radio was interrupted for warnings.....thunderstorms and
flooding. That's OK as long as they don't come ...
... start getting into areas where we will be doing some slower touring. We had thought we might get to the Sandusky area today but decided to stop earlier so that we can walk and have a relaxed evening. By the way, as you watch us travel, if you think that we are going to be near a place that you recommend we see, or something that we should do, please let us know as we are just flying by the seat of our pants right now!

... down town there was a little bit of traffic noise but nothing that kept me up all night. We swam for a while then came back to the room and hung our swim suits and shorts on the shower curtain rod to dry.
In the morning as we were packing up, I went to grab our suits when my shorts would not come down. The rod was going in one leg and out the other. I was for sure my dad was playing joke on me. After pulling for a minute or two ...
