      On Thursday, Karin Frei came to visit but she didn't land until close to midnight. The cool thing about Bangor is that on Thursdays they have live music downtown and all the restaurants on Central Street offer happy hours and street seating. He had one and said they were really spicy, the waiter explained that they are the spices they use are the closest they can get to the ghost pepper, so picture the hottest spice you've ever had and times it by 100.       ... and it was very peaceful to walk through.

      We then went back to Acadia and walked one of the carriage trails near Jordan Pond seeing three of the stone bridges that were built for the trails. Each stone had to be cut by hand to be fit into place by the bridge builder. These bridges were built in the 1930's and are spread throughout the parks 57 miles of carriage trails. After returning to Jordan Pond we had dinner which included more popovers. Yum Yum.

      ... perks: 1) longer rest hours, so more time to chill out in the cabin! 2) cinema trip!! On Saturday, we took my cabin and a few others to go see the prequel to Monsters Inc. at the cinema, and it was ace! Absolutely loved it, and it was also a couple of hours where I could just switch off and enjoy the film.
