... national park staff making repairs to a road, when I saw a sign leading off the trail and up to Bubble Rock, so we headed up in that direction. This is where we went wrong. The trail started off as a -very steep, admittedly- regular hike, and quickly turned into a scramble across and up a boulder field. The trail hadn't been marked on our map so I was following little blue markers painted on the rocks, whilst Laura trailed me, throwing me disbelieving glances, as if to ...

We really liked the authentic decor of the restaurant and their margaritas, but the food was just okay. I mean, it's a mexican restaurant in Bangor, ME and our bar is set at San Antonio... what did we expect? They have great deals during the week and neither of us got sick, so we would go back. We made it to trivia ...

... t speak much English and I just said lets see what the cops say.
I somehow managed to keep my cool but inside I was fuming. The cops turned up and interviewed us all, after a bit the cop told me to get into his car and he had me fill out a statement, somehow I got blamed for it, I was gob smacked, he said the only reason nothing would be happening is that I was from overseas. He then got the Spanish guy and he ended up doing the whole drunk test as he could smell drink ...

Sunday we decided to take a ride to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Having grown up in Maine I had been there many times; however, Tammy had only been once as a stop during a cruise a number of years ago. We boarded mom and dad's Subaru (mom and dad included) and headed out for the hour drive from their house to MDI. The weather was great - mid 70s with a light breeze. We made our way to the park entrance as I wanted Tammy to ...
