Way back in 2001, we sold our house in Somersworth, NH, bought a used motorhome, a '96 Fleetwood Bounder, and ventured out on our first RV road trip. Now, 14 years later, here we are, at the same RV Park at Charlotte Motor Speedway, that we stayed at on that first trip. We have dubbed it the mystery machine thanks to my mums Facebook comments, and will nickname it Scooby! ...

... easy but one section we came across was muddy and tricky. Bill asked if we should go back? I said it would be a poor show if we chickened out on our first tricky bit. It only lasted a mile and led us out of the forest into the middle of a housing estate. Bizarre.

There is a huge amount of agriculture here. Massive chicken and turkey farms and loads of corn. The housing is better but still based on trailers although very smart and large ones. Immaculate gardens ...
