We went with them to a restaurant at Texas A&M in College Station, and had a delightful meal. As we drove back to the campground we both enjoyed the peace and quiet. I guess you have the patience and stamina to deal with active children when you are much younger than we are.

... to finally say I've been to Texas, until we hit traffic. It took us 2 hours just to skirt the city. The roads are shaped like a spider web and we were definitely trapped like flies. We headed towards Fairfield on the highway that was four lanes in each direction!! We arrived in Fairfield in darkness and had some difficulty finding the rv park we had booked online. After ringing for directions we headed off into darkness and started to feel certain we were driving in the wrong way till Liam spotted the sign.
