It was supposedly given a cloth with Jesus' blood on it, which is still on display today. They also had a good range of shops, and since I had lost my beanie in paris I was in the look out for one. ... find the hotel/room was moderately nice as we only paid €45. It has a shared shower which was on the first floor and the toilet on the 2nd floor down the hall from the room, parking was free on the street. We walked to the information centre and was shocked it was open, everything is always closed on a Sunday. We got a map and checked out the church. ... spot. I arrived just before 7:30 and there was only one spot in the front row left!! There must have been more than last night, with the crowds being over 10 deep!! It is very moving, although it is amazing to stand beside people who sigh with impatience as the last wreath is placed and who ask friends why does it go for so long??!!
We covered 13 km walking today. Greg did some washing tonight including his socks which required numerous washes before the water stopped being brown!

... 60 Memorial we headed to Iper but it was not all plain sailing as Judy's GPS is like mine has a mind of its own, so we ended up driving in a circle and got on the right road
Finally after passing many War cemeteries we finally made it to the town of Iper found a free car parking spot and walked into town it was not very far and a lovely stroll the one thing we have noticed is a lot of towns have cobbled roads and are a pain in the butt.
