It was such a dreadful rush to get everything sorted in Seaford that I had no time to dwell on thoughts of being away for a year. I was neither scared nor excited, just really glad to have got virtually everything done before I locked up the house, handed the keys to the agent and left. The first campsite was fairly basic but with my well equipped van that didn't matter. What was important was the location right inside Savernake Forest and only a ...

... a good time, try navigating down Cornmarket Street through hoards of tourists when you're physically unable to say excuse me. Jolly good fun. And apparently Sudafed is a really big deal here, because I had to answer a whole slew of questions before the chemist would sell it to me: Are you taking any other meds? How old are you? Will you be operating machinery? You can't take it for more than 7 days...are you planning to be ill for more than 7 days? Don't you ...

I used to be a great flyer, but since my sister got me into Aircrash Investigation, i've gone the other way. Incidentally, they play Aircrash Investigation on the plane itself :s. ... and just past Reading bright sunshine! The garden was beautiful and big with a huge laden apple tree, and we had the vast lawn all to ourselves. What a feast, Proscuitto, Salami, salad, focaccia and cheese. Washed down with a jug of Pimms followed by Eton mess.

Lots of laughter and catching up - then it was time for me to get to the station to catch my train. Thanks for the lift Richard. A really great day, nothing like the English countryside on a sunny day.
