... park. Boys did some school work and we were excited to get the call mid morning to say car was repaired. Fortunately, it was only something minor to do with the handbrake cable and car repairs seems much cheaper over in the eastern states, with it costing only $66 for one and half hours work. Yippee. Happy campers yet again! Had a look around Lakes Entrance, boys having a run around the local park and we purchased some fresh seafood for dinner.

... Es scheint Ebbe zu werden, denn der Fluss fließt träge ins Meer hinaus. In der Morgensonne sind weite, rötlichbraune Sandfelder zu sehen. Auf der anderen Seite der Düne sehen wir runter auf den "Squeaky Beach", doch den quietschenden Strand heben wir uns für morgen auf. ... habe. Ich öffne sie wieder einen Spaltbreit - und siehe da, wir hören das vermaledeite Geräusch nicht mehr. Ein Teil unserer heutigen Aufgabe erledigen wir in "Lakes Entrance", wo wir alles im Supermarkt erhalten, was das Herz begehrt. Brot, Gemüse, Speck und Fleisch. Man hat dem Wald auch noch sehr stark angesehen, dass er 2009 bei einem großen Brand fast völlig zerstört wurde: Alle noch stehenden größeren Bäume hatten eine fast vollständig schwarz-verbrannte Rinde, haben aber irgendwie überlebt.
