Malta. A spectacular fortified harbour! The island is small but would warrant another visit. A tour of Valletta via horse and cart, ticked that box. Went to another walled town, Mdina, which gave great views. We toured the dungeons which was kind of corny but fun and gave grisly history of all the people who have ruled Malta, each with their own personal touch regarding punishment and torture. I watched a 45 ...

Got to mention hotel is excellent and clean. 11.11.14 Siracusa to Cefalu Headed off from Siracusa to Cefalu this morning, I was quite happy to leave this area and head somewhere new. We parked a short way from the vet and I took Tia in and was seen and out within ...

... or bring headlights like Lois and Larry or a flashlight like we did. Our hotel does not have a restaurant, does have a restaurant recommendation but it is half way back up the mountain. I think the closer you are to the top the more expensive the hotel. We are paying €120 a night a good bit down the hill and you can see by my photos that it is a fairly steep hill with many steps. I do not think we will have lost too much ...

      Buon giromo

The rooster might have crowed this morning and the train might have delivered 14 commuters somewhere but not for ears in our room at Borgo di Santa Barbara. So if you like off the map somewhat and entertaining pizza chefs this is the place for you...and a mere €80. Mind you must admit Lois heard the kids playing until midnight (local party at the restaurant), the rooster and the train...so maybe you ...
