... 1997. Annette and I discovered on our trip that we feel good being in close proximity with large bodies of water, and we really don't like big cities all that much any more.
This past summer we also hosted many of our friends at the lake and enjoyed two visits to Pieper Island, the latest with the Leaside gang. We learned a new way to act out the word "Greek" in charades!

... Before we left I heard some nasty thunder outside. A storm had rolled in. It was a wet run back to the car. Back on the road, a short time later we arrived in Geneva. A very nice spot on the shores of Seneca Lake, which is one of the Finger Lakes. The weather had cleared. We found our way to the hotel and settled in for the night. We had covered almost 300 miles today including side trips............. Wine country tomorrow.
