Things I will miss
So I'm a little behind on my posts...but as most of you know, I'm coming home in 2 days!! So in honor of this, I'm going to do two posts today: Things I will miss/Things I will not miss.
THINGS I WILL MISS!

In the Time of the Butterflies
... having the honor to speak with Ms. Dede Maribal, the only surviving sister. She lives in the house where the sisters grew up, but occasionally comes to the museum to talk and visit. She is a REMARKABLE woman and gave us great insight into the lives of her sisters. At 87 years old, she is incredibly lively and was incredibly happy to talk with us and answer questions we had; What an amazing experience with living history!

Rice, beans, nachos, fruits, and liver
This post is dedicated to food! Midday lunch is the largest meal of the day here with a smaller breakfast and dinner served as well. Here's a typical day of food:
- Breakfast- Any combination of freshly made juice, toast with jam or ham and cheese, cornflakes (a general term for all kinds of cereal), saltine crackers, and fruit

Homesick
... my TV, and so much more. Another thing I miss is my alone time. At home I spend most of the nights I’m not with Harshil in my room watching TV or reading. Here I can’t do that. I have 2 roommates. I love them both, but miss my space. The week after I get back I’m going to dedicate a day to just me. I’m going to be lazy and watch TV, and do all the girly things I’ve missed, like getting pedicures and having my hair done. ...

... on the beaches brought down the overall impression. The funniest thing this day was to ride in the waterholes on the gravel road, while the warm water was sprayed up on you, FUN!
