... br> The third well known sight of Peru is Lake Titicaca, on the border of Peru and Bolivia. It is often called the highest navigable lake in the world, sitting at 12,507 feet of elevation. It is noted for its series of floating islands made of reeds, where people live. It has become a major tourist attraction. We will not be visiting that area on this trip. Maybe we will have to come back sometime to see the lake and also Bolivia which is not on my "countries visited" list yet!

There was one table of men playing Chinese checkers and even though I was not taking a photo of them John claimed they were angry at me. I think they were agry at the guy alongside me who was taking a photo if them. There was a wedding having ...

... local beers resulted in a great night! And today is the first official day of the conference. So far so good! The poster session i was in just ended and that went well as well. Many chats and some goodyuu feedback. Plus some additional networking, yeah - it was very positive! Tonight there is an activity for young researches so that sounds promising as well. And all this is accompanied by blue skies, sun and 25 degrees! Oh yes, lucky ...
