A lovely wide motorway, making for quick travel ... that info is just for David's inquisitive mind, (he would want to know those facts). First surveyed in 1695 it was seen as a landscape that was seemingly uninhabitable and by 1850 there were only 7 houses with residents.

10'x15'... the past 5 years, 2 bedrooms and 4 floors of our home is now crammed into a one cinder-block cell, the mail has been stopped (doubt I'll miss it) and tenants who will be kindly paying our mortgage for the next 12months are now moved in and we're officially "homeless".
Bethany Beach is where we'll be calling home for the next few weeks, until we jump out on the road at the end of July.

I could think of worse places to lay-low for awhile.

... Cape May lighthouse.. Standing 157 feet tall, we then climbed the 217 steps to the top (oh dear the thighs were screaming on reaching the top). BUT the views from the top were worth it- see for miles , over wetlands and ocean beach- including the WW2 bunker still standing proud but abandoned on the beach.

Our guests have departed and we are again on our own. Monica & Richard were great ...

... of Wildwoods, exploring the tree lined streets filled with Victorian era mansions painted in bright colours like pink and blue. They were all built in the same style in the 1800's after the original town was almost entirely burnt to the ground.
