... cafes and braved the cool, sometimes misty weather. We walked all over the shopping district until our feet would no longer move.
Had a very light dinner at another cafe and walked a bit more. We are done shopping and tomorrow we will try and find some antique stores. I did look for an auction for tomorrow night, but there was only one with box lots, and that is not what we are looking for. Hope it warms up some.

... the sidewalk cafes, but the stupid smokers somehow thought that stepping 10' outside the ropes around the tables somehow made it OK to smoke. Worst of all, on several occasions, people walked by puffing on noxious cigars. Alex, like me, finds the smell nauseating - I wish that municipalities passed laws prohibiting smoking in public at all.

Woke up to a very cool -5 degrees this morning.. Grrr it's cold! With no where in particular planned for this road trip, we set out heading North towards Canada. The idea is to make it to Green Mountain National Forest and drive along the Scenic Route 100 Byway. It was great to be back in the fresh air and out of the confines of the city. ... I enjoyed a great time in the Adirondaks with friends and family at a cabin our buddies rent each year around Labor day. After the weekend, returned to home base NYC with family in our van for a couple of weeks before flying to Seattle to begin the adventure.
