... by Florida standards. Tomorrow we head to Doolin, quite the drive about 3 hours. We will cross the River Shannon on a car ferry at the town of Tarbert. We are planning on taking a 4 hour cruise to the Aran Islands and the Cliffs of Mohr (as seen from the ocean side, a wee bit safer..) I had issues trying to schedule planes and trains... to France and between French workaways, so I gave up and found these people near Skegness. I admit I was also intimidated by the thought of navigating through a country without knowing any of the language, especially when you hear the stories about the snotty French and their disdain for those who don't ...

We traveled west to Bantry, continued the drive up to Glengariff and then took R572 to Castletownbere where we stopped for lunch...we continued around the peninsula till we reached Lauragh and then cut across the peninsula by taking Healy Pass...it was a great drive!
