... br> our final night at the Empress we are eating the Empress Room, last night was a more casual meal on their veranda, it was so sunny that they issued us with dark glasses till the sun went down. A perfect sunset with no wind and no insects.
The final night was formal in that I was asked to wear a collared shirt - don't I always.
Baronial hall with high decorated ceilings. We had halibut which is a lovely fish we do not have in Sydney. A great finish to our stay in Victoria

... here?), and our bags were really quick, so we finally made our connecting bus with about 10 minutes to spare. Mind you the security strap on my suitcase had gone missing too. Seems that every thing was still inside, but it was just the last in a long list of challenges for the day.

... and lights were very impressive. When we got home Brando was all amped up and wanted to blow up our pumpkin with fireworks. We were keen as!! He made two bombs, the first nearly blew his hand off and pop our eardrums but didn't blow the pumpkin up. The second was better, didn't injure us but only put a little black mark on the pumpkin. We had the creepy neighbor come out wondering what the noise was, it was hard to deny it with all the smoke hanging around. Fun ...

... the end if he'd ever been to York in the UK and walked the tour there, which is brilliantly done, and not only had he, but said that it had inspired him and his dad to do some research into Victoria's past and set up their business. And that is exactly what it is, and how I chose to view it, they're making money (it wasn't cheap at $14) by providing entertainment to tourists, and you get to see and hear about a side of the city that you mightn't otherwise.
