      ... was delicious. the seafood and the local dishes were great.

      the last day here, we went to sullivans island. randi got a novel on the kindle called sullivans island, so we had to go see where everything took place. and we ate at poe's tavern. yep, old edgar himself was serving time at moultrine fort and he would come up to the tavern and was inspired to write a short story called the golden bug (i think).

      ... were lucky to see it as it only scheduled a few times a month. We experienced the sounds that define Charlston and it's unique southern charm. Gospel, Gershwin and civil war folk songs came to life. Rev Carl Bright and his family performed a few gospel classics (we wanted more). Their voices were the most powerful I've ever witnessed.       ... Folly Beach (where we take the kids for surfing over the summer) and walked to the old lighthouse. Even though it was chillier than summer, it looked really beautiful and quiet.
