    ... here. We stayed in Kapi Creek and Seagull Bay. In Seagull Bay 10 of us went to dinner one night at the "organic restaurant" that didn't serve anything. We each brought a platter of food and some drinks and invited the "restaurant owner", Ahmed to join us. It was a bizarre night, but unfortunately, I didn't take the camera so no pix.     ... we felt it sensible to "park off". Sticking to the back roads and keeping as close to the lake as possible in hope of finding something led us to Dalyan. Dalyan is famed for its tourist attractions most of which are reached by boat taxis.


    The turtles at the river mouth, the mudbaths and the Kaunos archaeological site being some of the more popular stop overs if one takes a day tour.

    No campsites were obvious ...

    ... were not so sure about who was which Buckley.

    The hotel is situated on a terrace, above the town. It affords amazing views, is quiet and catches the breeze. They provide a regular mini bus shuttle down into the town.

    We enjoyed TurunÁ village.

    It wasn’t too busy and the people are exceptionally friendly. We loved the small town feel where the local businesses competed for our custom yet supported each other. ...

    We walked down to the restaurant and were intrigued by the containers of water at every bend. Water - to bus used in the event of a fire!

    Our walk took us along the sea front at dusk - so picturesque but a huge new hotel may have an impact. Unfortunately the road is too narrow to safely walk back, at night. This meant we said no to the deserts!

    ... At least I make best use of the time while Elaine sleeps on, with more blog proof reading and updating.
    Not too sure if we've got room for our breakfasts after our sumptuous meals last night, but will have a pretty good go at it.
    We're one of the first by the pool this morning, but as usual, it doesn't take too long to fill up, and it's lovely as that old sun isn't being too aggressive early on. Right, this is it, concentrate on this sunbathing ...
