... lake is 40 miles by 20 . Biggish to be sure. They have ice races for cars in the winter (doh) on 4 feet of ice, described by the captain as "amusing". I do know that an Alfa GTV6 with 4 studded tires makes a very good ice racer... There's a good sized mountain outside of town that has ski runs. So the snowmobilers have some options. ... especially at our campground. we saw christmas decorations on some of the sites here and i at first was pretty judgemental and laughed and thought the whole thing was tacky, but than i read about christmas in july. even the camp hosts are putting up decorations! what a hoot. now, i think it's pretty fun!! we love it here and hate to leave, but we have been waiting two months to get to the coast. so, here we go!

So we woke up to fog that could be cut with a knife but away we go on our moose hunt. Out in the early morning to see what we can find.Down backroads, around the boughs, no moose. I did find some more nice waterfalls, but you are probably all tired of my views of my waterfalls. Back to the Behemouth and some breakfast.

This was an eventful day. We needed to stop along the way for a camper repair. That always takes more time than needed. Of course a cmaping store is like the candy store so we needed to buy a couple of things. But on the road we were to Greenville, Maine to see the famed Moosehead lake and to see if there were any moose in Maine. ...
