... sharing the camp fire. Nice. Today, Jim and I arose early and started our drive north. After a few directional miscues, we found our way to the proper state road. So far have traveled through Manistee (small, homes are older and not as kept as in Ludington but still cute; Cadillac, Kalkaska -tired looking, and Petosky - really really charming & picturesque - loved the vintage flavor). ... playing for more than 30 minutes. Fortunately, we still had a great time during both sets and went to bed more pooped than the night before.

Day Two
Artists seen: After Funk, The String Cheese Incident, Conspirator, STS9, Umphrey's McGee

Stopped for lunch in at a bowling alley/restaurant called Tucker's in a cute little town called Northport, Michigan.

We rode by the lake almost all day today. Just really gorgeous scenery.

Onward to ...

Strangely the set up is that everyone camps next to there cars and we were fortunate enough to neighbour some hospitable texans whose set up was class. They really showed us what 'glamping' was about- they had tent fans, picnic tables, fish and shrimp dinners, cooked breakfasts and bafflingly they never had warm beer. Camping next to them ...

... to explore and geocache. We arrived to Ludington, MI and camped at Poncho's Pond, #225, a very nice site for the RV and tent. More food needed for the two bottomless pits, prompted a trip for groceries.

6-21-14 – Saturday and Summer Equinox (the Longest Day of the Year).

On the way to Ludington State Park, we did a couple geocaches. At the park the boys had a chance to ...
