      ... writing this at 3:30am because against Max's advice I have decided to stay up pretty late in an effort to beat jet lag because there is an 11.5 hour time difference!

      As a side note, today (December 16th) is Ana's birthday, feliz cumpleaņos Ana!

      I will keep you posted on whether or not I am actually able to fly out later today - fingers crossed!

      Kenda replacement tires- initial thoughts: more knobby than stock dunlops, good reviews online and from other riders. I only got about 3000 miles out of my stock Dunlop tires (which I think is ****). So for the bang for the buck these seem to be viable options.

      ... of a slightly queasy stomach. The antibiotics have taken care of everything and I have not been too affected by foreign germs. Another amazing provision!
