    ... about 25 minutes at a time, only surfacing for 2-3 minutes between dives.

    They eat squid, fish, ray, crabs, octopus and skate whilst at sea.
    As many of them fall prey to the Orca, it is a dangerous time for them in the months they are at sea.
    While at sea they are intenslively active and eat all the time, but whilst on land they fast, molt and laze about in the sun.
    Sounds pretty good to me.

    ... time sunny warm since arriving in California - it seems that now finally we left the fog up north and are now coming closer to our beach vacation. After Pizza and tacos out in the park, we continued the windy road, only stopping later at Piedra Blancas Elephant Seal Rookery. What onteresting looking animals these are!     ... nothing was open.We really should have just stopped somewhere in the forest and eaten something random and enjoyed the view instead..oh well, next time. We also didn't have time to stop and see the Aquarium in Monterrey, which is supposed to be amazing, another thing to save for next time I guess.

    We made it back to San Fran with enough time to get ready to hit the town for the first of many Halloween parties..
