Santa Monica... Feeling so much better, Mike was ready to make up for yesterday and we got an early start. After a southwest-ish breakfast we walked down to the pier (more carnival-y than Navy Pier in Chicago ) and checked out the spot dedicated to the last stop on Route 66. Pacific Coastal Hwy 1... Time to put the top down on the Jerseymobile and head off up the coast. It's impossible to tell you how beautiful ...

The park isn't the nicest but it does have a lot of possibilities. There is a nice regional ...
Today we got up naturally and didn't use any alarms. This meant that Amanda was up, had cleaned the kitchen, showered, and bags packed by 930 am and Erika hadn't gotten out of bed until 1130. After we were both ready at about 1 pm we stepped out the door and were greeted with rain. We waited another 20 minutes or so and after the rain had disappeared, we said goodbye and thanked Mike and Mark, and we hopped on our bikes and headed down ...
