... we neared Cambria, we spotted a beach below the road which had seals on it. Not just one or two, but hundreds. All lined up like sunbathers on a Spanish beach in the summer, but without the parasols.
    What a sight!

We left our hotel in Carmel at 9am and arrived in Carmel-by-the-Sea a few minutes later, so we could have a look at this pretty little town before making our way south. What a day to arrive early in Carmel-by-the-Sea, with half of the streets closed for parking due to a forthcoming town parade. We wandered down to the beach and looked at the clear and still Pacific Ocean from the ...

    ... to name a few.

The grounds include an amazing pool and Roman bath area and many gorgeous fountains and gardens. There are numerous tours you can do and we only did the basic one, if we'd had more time we would have done more and I highly recommend going and doing at least two of the tours while you're there, it's an amazing place.

After the tour we continued along the coast road and back up to San Francisco. The ...
