Brianna and Sophia are super excited for you! They left the tears at the airport and moved on to their next task of getting ready for Hollowen. Money burn pocket, of course, so went to TJ Max and got the curling iron to create needed looks for the Holliday. They miss you super alot! They send you love, hugs and anticipate your return.

... I'm sure we will never forget.

The way we look at it, this trip was the blue print, the trial run, and we definitely learned a lot about traveling and our selves. Definitely what not to do, how to handle different situations, and the importance of patience.

Thank you for all who followed, encouraged, and commented. It meant a lot to us, and helped us along the way.

On 9/20/09, we arrived at Mt. Hood Village Resort , a full service campground in Welches, OR, about 20 miles from Mt. Hood. Our friend Mike Hartley flew from Ohio to join us on 9/22 so that he and Jim could take a 6-day backpacking trip in the back country on and around Mt. Hood. We went on a cruise down the Willamette River including diner and champagne.

We went to a classical car show in Oregon City.

We drove north out of Portland towards Seattle.

I-5 traffic was terrible, so we traveled West and stopped in the little town of Montesano for the night.

The next day we traveled the rest of the way to Seattle.

We stopped in Tacoma for breakfast and had soup.

We walked around Timberline Lodge.

I told her about 'The Shining'.

We went to the diner and I had a porter made at Government Camp.

We slept at the lodge.

We used the (very expensive) phone to make plans in Portland, the next few days.
