        ... The taxis are mostly Tesla Model S!!!! Fantastic - but electric and therefore silent giving them an additional advantage in being able to sneak up on the unwary tourist who won't even hear them coming. (We visited the Tesla Showroom to put a deposit down but I have decided to wait for the upgrade model with 'Insane Mode' good for 0-60 in 3 Seconds!!)         ... already more chaotic than orderly Copenhagen. To their credit, Amsterdam city officials and advocates that we've already spoken with acknowledge the problem and feel the law will be changed soon due to citizen dissatisfaction.

        We'll continue to learn more about the Amsterdam system in the coming days and even collect some data for planners, which should be an interesting change of pace. Nevertheless, my initial impression is that Amsterdam is ...

        ... not done that.

        It was a lovely evening though, ani came to learn that my new friend was actually born and bred in Germany unlike his accent which must have flown in from Australia just for the occasion and stuck around. He had the most un-German accent I've ever heard!

        But after that we both decided to crash, because lets face it...i was still hayfevered and i needed sleep, almost as much as i needed clean socks.
